Reception

Anticipated Questions

What Should I Wear?

First and foremost, we recommend that everyone dress practically. August in Iowa is likely to be very hot, so overly-formal wear would not be advised. The reception is a picnic, so we recommend comfortable footwear.

Should I bring gifts?

Due to travel constraints, we ask that anyone who has a gift larger than a greeting card to please send those to Matt and Elaina's apartment in Seattle. They will not be able to bring boxes back with them on the plane. Gifts, of course, are optional anyway.

Do I have to go to both events?

No. Both events are optional. People joining the bride and groom at Morgan's aren't obligated to attend the picnic, and vise versa.

Where should I stay for the night?

We have not reserved any blocks of rooms for the evening. Matt and Elaina are staying at the Sheraton downtown, but there are many other hotel options in the area. Here are a few:
Sheraton (319)337-4058 www.starwoodhotels.com
Iowa House (Very close to downtown) (319) 335-3513 www.iowahousehotel.com
Heartland Inn, Coralville: (Often has free shuttles to downtown) (319) 351-8132 www.heartlandinns.com
Holiday Inn, Coralville: (319) 351-5049 www.holidayinn.com

Is there anything we can do to help out?

It seems like everything is covered right now. We and our families are planning on getting to the picnic site around 2pm the day of the picnic, and anyone who would like to hang out with us some before the official festivities is welcome to join us. You're under no obligation to help us set up, but you're welcome to help if you want to.
